Description

Dysentry Bush is an erect to spreading shrub with neat elliptical leathery leaves. The small starlike flowers are white with an orange centre. It occurs on coastal dunes and limestone. It is also found inland and along the south coast to New South Wales and Tasmania. At the end of the nineteenth century Dysentry bush was patented in NSW as a source of Austral Marine Bitters for treating Dysentry.
