Apace (WA) is a self-supporting, community-based organization promoting
appropriate technology and environmentally sustainable development. Founded
in 1983 and based in historic Winter House at North Fremantle its activities
and facilities include:
A community revegetation nursery and revegetation
service
Training and educational programmes with an environmental focus, particularly
for unemployed and disadvantaged groups.
Various environmental, appropriate technology and renewable energy
projects
A specialist appropriate technology library, open to the public for
reference during office hours and as a lending library to Apace members.
